Since 1996, PRASAD Children’s Dental Health Program (PRASAD CDHP), which is located in Sullivan County, N.Y., has provided dental care services and dental health education to children from low-income families in New York State. PRASAD Children’s Dental Health Program is an initiative of The PRASAD Project, an international not-for-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life of economically disadvantaged people around the world. Welcome to the new PRASAD Children’s Dental Health Program (CDHP) website! We hope this online resource will inform and inspire everyone who is interested in providing children in need with healthy, happy smiles for life! It’s been 10 years since our mobile dental clinic first began traveling to the communities of Sullivan County, New York, and I am proud to say that more than 50,000 children have received dental services. The number of schools and community sites we visit has quadrupled in that time, and we’ve added another county – Ulster - to our service area. The ongoing support from our donors, community partners and legislators has played an important part in our decade of success. My six years with PRASAD CDHP has been the most rewarding professional experience of my career. I have seen firsthand, the positive impact our program has on the children and the communities it serves.
